Don't you guys think some kind of movement is happening ever since boxing came back to Liverpool. Its like there are firms who go specifically to fight when it kicks off!

Its like all the football fans, want to recreated the 1970's/1980's football type hooliganism.

Me personally..? I would never go to a BIG boxing show in the Liverpool Echo Arena. Because of the type of people and casual football fans that it attracts.

Ohh and the Weekend Millionaires and WAGS.

Tbf I thought the police and security were right onto it on Sat night and got in there quickly. Theres nothing they can do about the flying ale as there was that much of it flying about but the trouble in the lower tier and the upper tier was stopped pretty quick.

One thing that didn't seem right though was the police and security only went into towards the Mancs and left the the Scousers which is why the ale came from all angles then.

If the decision in the Derry / Crolla fight had gone either way it would of gone off again.

It was pretty funny though watching it from a distance, seeing pints go everywhere! When they started throwing pints from the top to lower tier it was chaos. Both times I've been to the Echo, it's kicked off

Pretty sure the crowds in Liverpool are worse than elsewhere.

I went to 4 shows last year 1 in London, 1 in Manchester and 2 in Nottingham and I only saw one fight involving just a few blokes in Nottingham.
I wasn't in the tiered seats so maybe I missed some but all of those ringside didn't miss it kickoff on Sunday

Haha you bad muppet! I was sat in the lower end with the Mancs, we came into the arena chanting crolla......may i ask what is wrong with that? Just like If i walked into anfield to watch United i would chant united. I came to support my mate, just coz its in liverpool doesn't mean i wont sing. The scousers started throwing coins (2p's) and pints at us the scruffy mongs. I few of them launched themselves at us and got a good pasting for their trouble. Horrible dirty bin dippers started it. The mancs finished it. End of story, we left part way into the main event, the police said they would appreciate it if we left because their wasn't enough police there to stop the trouble.

Shocking set up, why were tickets sold to mancs and scousers for the same block?, why not cordon them off like they do at football. Thats what you get, maybe they will learn next time.

HAHAHAHA that was right behind me.......point proven, scouser threw himself at the mancs, mancs fill him in. Happened all night, we had nowhere to go, had coins, pints thrown on us all night. Security was absolutely shambolic.

I went on Saturday and it wasn't a good reflection on what was an otherwise good night. I also went to prizefighter in the liverpool Olympia last year when both crolla and Derry were on the bill and the tournament was won by a Manchester lad called Terry Flanigan. There was no trouble there, despite it being unreserved seating and being able to have a drink at your seat. The difference there is that prizefighter was less hyped than Saturday nights one so there were less idiots and more genuine boxing fans at the prizefighter bill.

I think this will happen anywhere as it did in Belfast, there was murder at the magnificent 7 in Birmingham a few years back to name the first 2 that spring to mind. There definitely needs to be some form of segregation but it's hard especially when there are so many ways people can get hold of tickets. Security and policing could do with beefing up. Just hope there is not a serious incident as it could end up like the football where working class people are priced out of going and you can't have a drink while watching the event.

You are right about the keeping the fans separate. It's not rocket science to know it would kick off.
