Lewis... no doubt! Golota recived an injury in training camp. He was a healthy and fit when he fought Lennox.
Panic attacks and that kind of stuff was always a problem for Golota because of his mentality but in the Lewis fight, he apparently received a lidocaine injection in the knee that made him this way that time. The way he looked in this "fight", right after looking so sharp in the Bowe fights, I can believe that. That deer in the headlights look when down, the hesitation to throw a punch earlier, the way he moved in there.. Gołota subsequently claimed that an injection of lidocaine for tendonitis in his right knee given to him by his physician shortly before the fight made him woozy and impaired his vision. The adverse effects of lidocaine include dizziness, blurred vision, seizures. As a result, he filed a medical malpractice suit against his physician, claiming that the injection had cost him the fight and a deal with HBO for $21 million to broadcast his next four to five fights. Before the Lewis fiasco Golota actually appeared to have some helluva chin. I think it diminished due to the fact that Golota never really actually held his opponents when hurt like he thought it's some kind of "gay" thing to do. Still, he was never actually down prior to the second Bowe fight and he sure had the right to be when hit flush by Samson Freakin' Pou'ha. The guy's power was surely no worse than Tua's IMO. George Foreman told Golota that he shouldn't have even taken the Pou'ha fight - George sparred with Pou'ha and fired him as a sparring partner to save himself some braincells. Arguably Pou'ha was the man who hit Golota the hardest (from 5:00).. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6j__ZN3q2I It's unreal how he managed to stay on his feet...
I think Lewis hurt him the most in regards to stunning him or disorientating him as Lewis stopped him quickly with a barrage of shot. But Lewis didn't really have the time to really physically hurt Golota like Bowe and Tyson did. Bowe broke Golota's jaw in the second fight while Tyson cracked vertebrae, cheek bones and gave Golota a concussion. I'd say Tyson physically hurt him the most as Golota took a huge flush right hand and made Golota quit.
I think the 2nd Bowe fight took something from him, physically and mentally. Physically he still had to take a few big shots, despite him beating the **** out of Riddick for the most part, and mentally because he hammered a man for the best part of ten rounds, and then fouled himself out of the fight because he couldn't cope with the fact that Bowe was still in there. As brilliant as Lewis was around that time, I'm not convinced he'd have executed him in that fashion had Golota not been in such a war the 2nd time around with Bowe. By the time of the Tyson fight, the game was up for him, with the disgraceful quit job against ****ing Michael Grant.
Mike Tyson and Rocky Marciano fanboys are the most annoying people in the classic forum. Austin knocked Tyson out in the first round so apparently he is one of the hardest punchers in boxing history. If you jump on Golota he gets exposed. Because a drugged up Tyson knocked Andrew out is no different from any other time he got wacked out.
:think Btw, if you dont like the thread, **** off and if you dont like Classic, **** off from there as well
