Sure, but he also lost to them. and he waited until McCall was a shell of a human being before rematching him.

 

Well...maybe if Sanders hadn't lost to Rahman in 2000 he would have been the one who'd gotten the shot at Lewis in 2001.

Also, saying Lewis "ducked Sanders" implies that Sanders was either 1 - in line to get a shot because he was a mandatory or 2 - had called out Lewis numerous time but recieved no response. So tell me, when was Sanders ever Lewis's mandatory? And when did Sanders ever call Lewis out?

 

I remember Lennox called up Sanders before the Wlad fight to give him advice.

 

Why has he always hated the Klitschkos? Wlad fought Sanders three months before Lewis fought Vitali. Why would Lewis call up a fighter he has nothing to do with to give advice against another fighter he has nothing to do with? :huh

 

I'm pretty certain Lewis could lose to some Wlad-men.(Not would, but could)

Prime Lewis, a fully motivated one is the best hw ever for me... but he was also incosistent.
Incosistency will always lead to a loss, and he did lose 2 times because he was lazy at times.

 

Hasim Rahman is an amazing fighter. Lewis underestimated him and lost.

 

Lewis his biggest weakness, his ego.

 

I completely agree. Lewis was phenomenal but (like most fighters) wasn't always 100% professional

 

Even if Lewis hasn't underestimated him, it would have been a difficult fight. The first five rounds of the fight wasn't easy for Lewis at all.

In the rematch, Rahman underestimated Lewis and Lewis didn't underestimate Rahman the roles from the first fight have been reversed.

 

He lost to Oliver McCall and Hasim Rahman both by KO. Neither were above average really. I do agree he wouldn't lose to Byrd. Is Brewster really any different than McCall or Rahman? :think

 

Lewis was the most consistent out of all the big heavyweights at the time, gotta give him credit for that. He was way more consistent than Holyfield, Tyson, and Bowe. Holyfield's career just began to collapse and was never the same after the first Riddick Bowe fight.
