These two match up very well imo.

Both boxer/punchers, I'd pick Alvarado, either close UD or perhaps even a stoppage late on.

It would be a great scrap, but as Larry pointed out I doubt we would ever see this match-up due to the GBP and Top Rank beef.

If It did I favor Alvarado.

Wouldn't be that surprised to see Alvarado jump ship though, he was really used as a sort of stepping stone for Rios, Arum clearly had eyes on Rios being his next ppv star.

Yeah I know, but who knows what kind of contract Arum gots on him. Might not be that easy.

It would be wise but Top Rank guys don't seem to jump to Golden Boy

If Rios punches broke up Alvardo's face like that... what would Garcia's punches do? Garcia has one punch power... he'd ko Alvarado COLD.

Rios has one punch power, and might hit harder if not just as hard as Danny.

Did you see what Erick Morales did to Garcias face in their first fight? Alvarado hits way harder than Morales.

Garcia ko'ed Khan who was taking him to school early on and an old Erik Morales who he struggled with the first time around, he's not some kind of invincible beast that some make him out to be, he's a good fighter sure but people saying he can just KO anybody are getting ahead of themselves.

He has one punch power based on what?

KD glass jawed Con whom he didn't even KO out cold, and KOing a shot to pieces fat 36 year old Morales?

I think Alvarado edges it. Garcia doesn't bring the pressure that Rios brings.

Would be a good scrap but most likely wont ever happen.

Rios does not have one punch power at 140, if Alvarado let Matthysse or Garcia get those shots in it would be over in 3

Garcia is faster of foot, and hand, than Rios. Garcia is used to facing "boxers" and can also box himself.

Alvarado cannot really box. It just looks like he can when facing (s)lugs like Rios.

I'd pick Garcia every time over Rios and/or Alvarado.

Alvarado has a much better chin than Khan and a 36 year old Morales, Garcia won't bring the same amount of pressure that Rios brings, which will give Alvarado the time and space to get his combinations off that he was having so much success with against Rios, he'd have even more success against Garcia, plus Garcia marks up very easily.

Garcia is one of the most open boxers I've seen, its just his timing that keeps you from being wreckless but like Morales did show you can give him trouble if you box and mess up his face, if Alvarado can keep a high guard to block that left hook and not get too careless he would stop Garcia
