Reason 8'002 why you shouldn't mess with Roberto Duran

I remember from his autobiography,

He was once training doing mitt work and shadowboxing in the ring, while a reporter or just a fan kept shouting "PIPINO CUEVAS WILL KNOCK YOU OUT"
After repeating this 5-10 times Duran flipped and ran to the ropes shouting "PIPINO CUEVAS CAN SUCK MY ****"

 

Bet he didn't say anything like that about Hearns :rofl

Apparently Duran was very quiet in the build up of the Hearns fight, and seemed a tad uncomfortable and wanted to get out as soon as possible whenever he was around Hearns.

Which is the complete opposite to how he was around Sugar Ray and Hagler

 

i met him once in a life in vegas. i said " hello " . he told me to " F@@k off"....after silence for a few secs him and his friend left the lift and he repiled " goodbye" to me..... his english was broken but i had full idea what he was saying

 

Alot of people would of messed with Duran in the ring. Julian Jackson would of butt raped him if they fought.

 

Who in their right mind would want any part of Duran in a street fight ? Rumor had it that Frazier said he`d want no part of Duran outside the ropes... Learned how to scrap in the streets growing up in Panama...
