Mike Alvarado hit Rios with everything but the kitchen sink and could not keep Rios of him enough to prevent Rios from landing big shots in both fights.

How would Khan, who doesn't hit as hard as Alvarado (in my opinion) or possess as diverse on offensive arsenal, succeed in keeping Brandon off of him?

Could Khan win a number of rounds? Sure. Can he keep Rios from dropping the hammer in one of these rounds? Doubt it.

Hitting a fighter has nothing to do with being able to keep them off you.

Alvarado is a completely different fighter to Khan.

"possess as diverse on offensive arsenal" - on the inside maybe - exacly where Khan won't be fighting and where Alvarado got hit most

Not like we should really think about fights like this anyway... why? Because Rios ain't going far at 140 and Top Rank can't take him very far either.

Marquez was probably laughing while watching that fight at how badly he'd outbox these kids.

Rios couldnt deal with Alvado's movement. Dont see how he could handle the bicycle man Khan.

If Khan fights smart and does not brawl he wins easily and by stoppage on TKO in probably round 5 or 6. But if he brawls and fights Rio's fight, then anything can happen. Up to Khan to fight his fight. Khan would be too fast and his right hand would easily land. In this fight he should fight simple. one two one two. and maybe an occasional left hook to the body. For Rios do the pressure fight he always does and hope Khan fights with him, and Khan does like to brawl a little.

Bull****. There are two ways to keep an opponent off of you: 1) Through superior footwork and defensive acumen 2) the ability to hit hard enough to get the other guy's attention.

    Khan possesses neither attribute.

Really?? Based on what? He wasn't supposed to fight on the inside against Peterson, either, and ended up sitting in there eating upper cuts like M&Ms.
