To become a crossover star you first need a platform to become one. 15+ Mayweather fights have been broadcloth on Sky Sports.

Great....how about putting on some of those fights? 1 domestic card per month at the moment.

that areana wasnt sold out last night there was clearly loads of empty seats on tv though some of the spaces could be attributed to loads being in the bogs snorting there brains out ha

i was there and it wasn't a sell out thoug the bog were packed out with coke heads

I'll put my 10 pence in. Without a Sky box and card, you cannot see Boxnation? So a Freesat box is no good? If that's the case then Boxnation and Sky are linked indirectly?

Probably lost money on the wembley show but the cash cow premier league of darts would have paid for that

Boxnation are building and i am glad.

    **** Sky.

If you are a boxer, it seems like Sky force you to wank over a football team.

"I am a WestHam fan, i wish my fight was at the ground"....blah blah.

Outside of Tony Bellew, when has what football team a fighter supports been pushed in the past year?

    Ohhh beleave me it happens.

I can remember they tried to push David Haye, being a MillWall fan.

I don't think he has ever shown much interest in MillWall or being a hardcore football fan.

Just a guess here, but if matchroom boxing are currently signing more fighters it stands to reason that as a company they are doing okay from the sport as a whole.

Some venues will do better or worse than others but with good backing from sky, betfair and a few other sponsors matchroom have british boxing on a good footing at the moment.

I am new to this forum but all a lot of people want to do is knock hearn, matchroom or anyone that seems to be doing alright.

I don't doubt that he (hearn) is a business man and wants to make money but you don't see to many of his lads slagging/knocking him. I know a few people who know him and say he is decent and fair.

The other thing to remember is this, no matter how much money he makes or losses atleast he is paying his lads and delivering fights. The same cannot be said for a number of promoters in the game.

I think Barker is a Chelsea season ticket holder, uses the gym at Stamford Bridge. He was even celebrating with the players after the Champions League final.
