Has il duce been banned from here?

No big deal or anything, just that i had a quick look at the boxrec forums for the first time in ages the other day and his stuff was plastered all over them.

Reminded me he's not been around for a while.

I was more excited for this fight than any in the 3 or so decades of my fandom. It was a terribly disappointing affair... and not for the outcome or scoring, just for the action, the way their styles meshed and the lack of closure. A rematch should have happened.

Why was a rematch warranted though... Whitaker IMO clearly dominated the fight and won a fairly wide UD

I had Whitaker winning, not by a wide margin, but I would have liked to see an attempt at a more conclusive result. I think Whitaker could have done better what Randall did a few months later.

Anyway, the fact is that JCC was quickly slipping out of his prime and up into a weight division where he had little business. Would have loved to see this one a couple years earlier at 135. But you get what you get.

You only need to look at round 7 being an even round on his post to know Frankenfrank is taking the ****, that was one of Whitaker`s three strongest rounds (alongside 8 & 3)

That's when the fight should have happened. Not Welter.
