If any of those 3 got it in with one another, I'd be there in a heartbeat.

    Macklin/Murray = War/Grudge match.

They'll matter as much as if one of them had already lost to Martinez and Sturm, one had lost to Martinez and one had simply drawn with Sturm. All those reverses at the top table hasn't dampened the appetite for them to fight each other yet and I see no reason why that will change.

If anything they will carry more significance because beating each other will get them back into the world title picture.

So great fights get made "do they matter?" of course?!

I dont care what level they are at when great fights get made. I dont think anyone truely thinks any one of those fighters is the best middle in the world or potentially the best middle in the world.

They are however rather uniquely 4 Brits in arguably the top 10ish so they have massive significance nontheless

If that happens should they all just quit boxing?

I think Lee - Macklin would still be a big fight to decide England's top Middleweight

The Irish/New York thing is the most over hyped thing in Boxing.

USA ROB, domestic match ups will be far more memorable, people will remember Haye Chisora more than Haye Wlad. Which fight will you be recalling from last Saturday at the end of the year. Bellew or Crolla Matthews?

How else did Macklin-Martinez sell out 5,000 in New York then?

It's mainly based off Duddy's popularity, but the truth is Duddy probablywould of been popular in Shanghai, Alaska, Tunis, Dover.....****ing wherever with the way he fought, regardless of his popularity.

As for the jibes at Macklin's nationality from many on here. They are to be expected but I think I'll decline to bite.

Those fights still matter in the uk with British fans just as much as before as it was always to know who the best was over here out of the 4 of them. I don't think the fights lose any appeal we always knew they were all below world level but I'd love to find out who is the best of the 4 I side with barker myself. Don't think it happens but wouldn't be shocked if it did.
