In this interview today, Wawrzyk says he was also offered the fight with David Haye in June, but prefers Povetkin because it's a financially better offer and because it's a chance to win the WBA title. http://www.allboxing.ru/archives/2013-04-05_23_40.html
I did too. I feel he's been getting underrated lately. These were very solid and recent enough performances. I really do hope Povetkin and KT make for a noticeably nice pairing. Not much to tell against Rahman, unfortunately. I'd like to see what he looks like in another fight, pre-Volo. Against a man who can walk.
Fres Oquendo is angry that Povetkin chose Wawryzk instead of him. http://boxingnews.com.ua/ru/novosti/4989-fres-okendo-povetkin-trus
Povetkin is following in Wlad's footsteps and picking obvious mismatches, also protecting what I believe to be a shitty ass china chin plus a soft mentality. Pov is the very essence of a paper chump and these fights should never be sanctioned. If you haven't beaten a top 10, what business do you have challenging for a belt?
according to Wawrzyk camp, there are 3 fighters being considered by povetkins camp.so Wawrzyk bout is not yet sure.i wonder who are the other 2.Good for wawrzyk tho i dont see him having much chances
I've read once from a Steward quote Wlad loves his belts. So I doubt it. Kind of like Roy Jones Jr to a lesser degree, how many belts did that guy even have?
Anybody got the email of Fres? I so want to tease the guy for not going the distance against John Ruiz.(Just a bit of teasing, no bullying)
