I'd be fine with this fight if Garcia proves to be THE man at 140 then has success in 1-2 relevant 147 fights. Although, his style makes it an easy night for Floyd imo

Exactly how I feel. Whoever emerges as king of 140 has some definite substance, and one or two solid wins at 147 would legitimize them.

But like you say, his style seems to play into Floyd's hands. He's not likely to counter over Floyd's shoulders, the discrepancies in height, reach, speed, and accuracy are highly stacked against him. Floyd wouldn't even have to move that much, just tee off, set traps, and shoot his punches straight like he always does. Only way I see Danny having success is if Floyd leans in a bit too much with his chin out and Danny throws with him, and Floyd loses a split-second due to a slight decline of his reflexes.

IMO, there is a lot of good fighters at 140. It has a deeper talent pool and bigger names there than 154 (except canelo), however these dudes will not be supported by Floyd distractors mainly because they do not tower Floyd in size, therefore have lower chance to hit floyd hard enough to score a one punch KO. That is all it really boils down to. The people who wants to see how lose knows this. It doesn't matter how good or crappy his opponent is and as long as they can punch, they think that guy have a chance.

Danny's Frame looks close to Floyd's. He will not have a problem jumping to WW to fight Floyd. They are close in size. Floyd is still not a big WW.

Floyd would KO this dude. You don't go undefeated for as many fights as Floyd unless you're 100% focused in the ring. Khan was easily beating Garcia until Khan forgot that Garcia could punch. Easy wide UD or KO for Floyd.

Do Puerto Ricans hate Cubans that much? Angel Garcia just dissed Cubans.

If garcia cleans out the 140 division this year a mayweather fight in 2014 would be fine . If he fights matthysse he will get beat
