Yep, that's the kinda thing I was getting at.
But would you if Geale cleaned him up?

I can hear it now - 3G was only a bum who fought LMW cans all his career...

OTOH, if 3G beat Geale, I would naturally be gutted, but I'd also give him full credit, and that I underrated him and he is certainly the goods.

A Bum that Geale gave up his title so he didnt have to fight? nice try sox but its not going to work, lets face it, Geale will never fight GGG. To heavy handed and if Mundine could knock Geale down and hurt him imagine what GGG is gonna do.

Your opinion means little, you are as fickle as they come in terms of being a fan, and you seem to jump on every flavour of the month fighter and then kick them in the guts when they are down, no loyalty whatsoever.

Lets cross that imaginary bridge when we come to it.

Why? Plenty hypothetical scenarios discussed all the time.

Look at the ding bat posting above us, do you think he'll give Geale any credit? There's plenty others like him.

I'm just curious as to why some seem to enjoy not giving credit when it's due.
Is it tall poppy or something else?

Go back a few months, and you'll find I said I'd even give Mandy credit if he beat Geale legitimately. As much as I dislike the wanker.

IF geales fights Golovkin and IF he wins, I'll give him all the praise in the world

No body gave Mundine credit for his few good wins, Green was weight drained, HE didn't beat Geale the first time, Echols was nothing (even though Hopkins has said they were his most difficult fights and he'd never fight him again).

I gave Mandy full credit for beating Green. Good fight, and a total flogging.
At the time, I hoped Green would win.

I don't give him credit for beating Geale, but I give both fighters credit for fighting a good fight.
    Controversy ****ed that up somewhat.

In any case, I'm not just referring to Geale when I say credit isn't given enough to fighters winning good fights.
It typically isn't immediately after the fight, rather after the dust settles, excuses are made, and the the shine is taken off the win for some reason.

It's also not all fighters, just some.
You can't deny Geale isn't one of those.

I think any fighter that has a base of very passionate fans is going to attract haters

 GGG is a very overrated middleweight. Hasnt really done alot for all the hype around him. Geale has been a very underrated middleweight, came home from Germany with an IBF world title:deal

Youve all said this **** before:roll:

Well if he is over rated why aren't Geales people jumping out of their skin to fight him? would bring him exposure in the US on HBO, he would win his WBA belt back and have an easy night of it if we go by your expert knowledge.

Strange then that Shaw and co aren't falling over them selves to make the fight happen.

Nobody not even Green knew he was weight drained until after he retired. I gave him full credit for that. Echols was shot at a party and had nerve damage so that victory was tainted but then again the fight was set and he chose to take the fight anyway. I had Geale-Mundine I 7 rounds to 5 Mundine a 3 point win.
But you're right alot of people discredit Mundines wins because he's a dick e.g Thinking he won the 2nd Geale fight and that he was robbed.:patsch

govolkin is the better boxer & bigger puncher but geale has by far the higher work rate & i think the gap in their boxing abilities is close enough for this to be a good competitive fight & as someone posted before govolkin has not fought anybody close to geals level. the way i see it is if it goes late geale wins because govolkin will get no rest with geale sheer volume would break him down i think also he has never been taken into deep water so dony no if he can swim yet. i may be a bit bias tho i like the aussies. cheers
