Both David Haye and Alexander Povetkin want Andrew Wawryzk as their next opponent

    Looks like both Haye and Povetkin want Andrew Wawryzk as their next opponent:

    To borrow a comment from Larry Merchant, to say Andrew Wawryzk has a glass chin is an insult to glass.

    He was knocked down by a 1-11 fighter who has a 0% KO ratio, [url]Aliaksandr Mazaleu[/url] and knocked down and nearly stopped by a cruiserweight with a 20% KO ratio, [url]Harvey Jolly[/url].

    Why do these two top heavyweight contenders want to fight a guy like Andrew Wawryzk? Why don't they want to fight someone good like Kubrat Pulev?

    Yes.

    Seems the top heavyweights nowadays usually just fight faded old guys and softies like Wawrzyk instead of fighting each other.

    We've had one **** fight after another in the Heavyweight division and now this joker.

    Between Wlad, Vitali and Povetkin we've had the worst line-up of heavyweights challenging for a heavyweight title over the past couple of years since the days of Joe Louis and his 'Bum of the Month' challengers.

    Francesco Pianeta, Manuel Charr, Dereck Chisora, Mariusz Wach, Tony Thompson, Jean Marc Mormeck, Hasim Rahman, Marco Huck and Cedric Boswell.

    The sad thing is that there's not even that many other Heavyweights out there that are much better!

    Extremely misleading thread title.

    Apparently he is one of the FIVE opponents Booth has been talking to. Pulev, Charr and Povetkin are meant to be others.

    i think it's because Wawrzyk is a very poor man's Wlad with his height and jabbing style, but without the speed and power

    plus he's young (only 25) and undefeated

    boxing ain't what it used to be. heck even 15 yrs ago top guys were fighting each other regularly. now, its a huge event and promotion when something like that happens.

    Is that line up, between 3 "champions," really better than who Louis fought in the span of 39 months between 1939 and 1942? I think nowhere close. And I mean NOWHERE CLOSE, decisive and not debatable...

    Billy Conn, John Henry Lewis, Lou Nova, Bob Pastor, Tony Galento, Arturo Godoy X2, Abe Simon X2, and Buddy Baer X2.

    Plus, for just icing on the cake, a whole bunch of guys who are probably below the quality of guys you've listed in: Roper, Paycheck, McCoy, Burman, Dorazio, and Musto.

    17-0, 16 KO's in 39 months.
