http://youtu.be/0ew8svjKxxw Not quite the Pasi domination I was lead to believe. Pasi's speed for sure was a step up from what Mark has been used to and must have caught him by surprise but Pasi didn't seem a crab like his record suggests. Pasi was also having a good run with Charr by all accounts until he got caught. Haven't seen that fight though so can't confirm. Would love a link. Mark will learn from this and will be alot less blasé next outing I'm sure.
Size yes, reach I wouldn't have thought so, could be wrong. Marks biggest advantage is his hand speed against most HW's which all of a sudden against the smaller Pasi he didn't have. Think everyone's going a bit over the top with 'woeful' etc. Yes he was only breaking even over the 4 with Pasi, maybe even up 3 to 1 in my biased eyes, but since returining from his quiet spell, Mark has never gone out to blast guys out in the first and second. He's there to box and work his way in to a fight then break the guy. Overall, not his best performance, but am sure he will step it up from here.
13/4/13 Ranked 562 Cruiser Elvir Behlulovic 3-16-0 Now that the Germans have worked out where DeMori sits in the grand scheme of things they will obviously be matching him accordingly. :good
The 1st round was a nothing round, but I gave it to Mark. Pasi won the 2nd, and probably the 3rd and 4th as well. Mark kept dropping his hands nearly every time he attempted to unload. In the 3rd he used hopeful overhand rights in an attempt to get Pasi out of there. In the 4th Mark swung hopeful big shots from the hip. Meanwhile Pasi just waited for Mark to drop his hands and landed counter-punches far too easily and regularly. Mark looked poorly prepared and was blowing opened mouthed early on. Pasi had well and truly removed the smile from Mark's face prior to the secession of the fight. Back to the drawing board. Lucky his next opponent is another undersized guy heading for his 9th KO loss in 20 fights or Mark would be in real trouble.
What fight were you watching??? He was being schooled. He just has a couple of moves that's all..DeMori has terrible footwork
Now you see what I mean! De Mori is just noot strong enough right now to face any real opponent! Thats why he has to face bums like this.
I've come full circle now on De Mori... I now actually want him to continue winning and get to 50 - 1 It will be like our joke on the rest of the world heavyweights. Team MDM 50 w's all the way!
In February before de Mori departed for Germany I had a quick scan through the absolute dregs of German heavyweights and at BoxRec #585 found a 42 year old with 2 wins to his name. I think deep down I just knew de Mori would end up fighting the guy, so on Feb 27th I posted a video of him. See post #53 >>> http://www.boxingforum24.com/showthread.php?t=460722&highlight=germany&page=4 That 42 year old with 2 wins to his name is Bekim Pagga and if you have a look at BoxRec you'll see he is Mark de Mori's opponent this weekend >>> http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=593189&cat=boxer
Here's that video of the 42 year old with only 2 wins to his name Bekim Pagga I posted 27th Feb >>> [yt]waBxskb5Nxg&feature=player_embedded[/yt] Proof that if you predict the oldest & worst opponents possible for Mark you'll invariably be right on the money.
