Tony Bellew vs Isaac Chilemba 2 on Froch undercard

Think bellew by tko. Think he'll really go for it and land more. Having said that I wouldnt be surprised by a chilemba decision

 

I hope this isn't the chief support.

 

You see it right! Bellew did not even won rounds by landing any good shots. Chilemba always had the cleaner shots. Bellew won these rounds by pure aggression and because Chilemba was not very activ (although he always landed some good counter punches).

 

Bellew will win on points will pick his shot's better & realise he won't be able to come in walk through Chilemba.Controlled aggression.

Let's just hope the rematch will be better can't be worse than the first surely?

 

:yikes we agree for once. I do think Bellew's talk and hard man act made Chilemba believe he punched harder than he did. Bellew has this reputation as someone who really knows how to bang. In reality he's like Froch-enough power to make his opponent respect him, but not nearly enough that they should fear him and feel as if they have to be super conservative. In some ways it was like the Froch/Dirrell fight, with Dirrell leaving it a bit late to step on the gas but when he did, making Froch look ordinary.

 

Tony Bellew "HAS" to win.

I believe this is his mentality, he has to "WIN".

That is why i think this fight will be a war, Bellew will fight with more urgency and bad intentions. Which will maybe see him tire out within 6-8 rounds maybe even earlier! And this could lead to him being stopped by Chelimba!

Or Chelimba will simply wilt under the pressure.

It is a 50/50 fight, and could potential end Bellew's career at 175.

Due to his battles to make 175, i have said for years that in the correct organic situation..? he is a bad beat down waiting to happen!

It is a career changing fight! Its even bigger than the first fight!

I think it will actually overshadow the Froch vs Kesseler fight! I honestly beleave, that first fight..? was a blessing, and both fighters will come with more aggressive game plans, their is genuine divided opinion amongst both camps! There is genuine dislike there! Chelimba has stated that Bellew is scared! This is a massive insult to a man like Tony Bellew! There is reputation and social prestige within Liverpool for Tony Bellew! On the line! ON THE LINE!

This is no longer a boxing match, this is no longer a sporting event, it is a fight! For both guys, it is a 100% genuine fight.

Yeah I agree, it was the whole hard man act, Chilemba just couldn't look him in the eyes before the fight and did not want to engage at all but when he relaxed it was his fight. I fancy a UD this time round. I think Bellew made his name as a puncher in the amateurs where he really did get some nasty KO's over decent people but in the pro's he just hasn't transferred it or the weight has taken some of his power away.

 

Have a nasty feeling that it's just going to be the same as the first fight. Messy and boring. Chilemba makes Tony miss all night and counters him without really hurting him.

Chilemba is very likely to win this time but not KO, come on everyone get real. He landed clean on Tony a couple of times in the last fight and they didn't even wobble Bellew. He doesn't have the power. If Chilemba does win it will be by a lopsided decision.

 

Yeah Bellew never really looked hurt at all. I see a unanimous decision for Chilemba.

 

I actually agree with you on the first bit, this will be a much better fight now. Niether guy took much punishment so the 12 rounds they did last week will have only sharpened them up.

Having made weight recently should help Tony as well, has not had time to put weight on. Both of them will believe they can win this time and take that confidence in the ring with them. Bellew got allot of stick for his effort but Chillemba threw nothing early doors and surely he will realize he has to do more.

As for it over shadowing the main event, thats just **** custard.

Could be argued that Bellew has to win for his own career if he wants to go any further with Matchroom in terms of progression up the tree anyway. Hearn said about possibly going back to some learning fights in the post fight press conference. Don't think he really meant that though as you can't see them throwing money at a 30 yr old for more 'learning' fights.

The Hearns haven't got where they are by not being ruthless. Bellew may see Eddie as a pal as well as a promoter, but Hearn's face and demeanour after the fight suggested it's a rather important time coming up for Bellew. And if Bellew doesn't get his act together soon it may be a case of him having already served his purpose to Hearn in terms of initially helping to build up the stable whilst annoying W*rren at the same time.

 

If Tony sits back this time and tries to draw a lead then we could be in for an even worse fight - I'm thinking Witter v Corley bad...

 

I'm going to be all over Chilemba by stoppage in the next fight.

Tony knows he has to take it to him, he can't do just enough to nick it like Groves did against DeGale because Chilemba just has too much ability for him. He has to keep his foot on the gas for the full 12 rounds and really try to intimidate and bully.

However, my view is he's just not capable of doing this and will tire and be stopped, maybe as early as the 8th.

 

Chilemba Points can't see any other outcome unless the judges are completely incompetent.
