But we all know Khan will fall face first against Mayweather. Floyd will outclass him after the first two rounds.

Actually, styles make fights, and Khan's style will bring problems to Mayweather throughout the fight. Besides, when's the last time Floyd Knocked someone flat on their face? The last guy was Ricky Hatton, and that was a few years ago. The knockout for Victor Ortiz doesn't count, since it was a sucker punch. Anyone that gets sucker punched will get knocked out, that is essentially how the human body works.

'Things were wrong, but I never picked up on them,' said Khan. 'I blame myself because I could have done things differently. At the Wild Card, it was all about showing how brave you are. It's a famous gym and you're always on show. Being world champion, you didn't want to look stupid, or look like an ordinary fighter, or that some kid could come along and beat you up in sparring. At the Wild Card, I used to have wars with everyone.

'Stars like Mark Wahlberg, Mickey Rourke, Snoop Dog, Sugar Ray Leonard, even Lennox Lewis, came to see me train. You think you've made it. I used to put on a performance. They want to be your friend, but I now know it takes away from what got you there in the first place: boxing.

'Normally, I'm a very humble man. But when people come over and say there's this party happening and people like yourself should be there, it's a big thing, it does change you.

'At the last camp for the Garcia fight, I went to four parties. It's not me. But then you'd be seen mixing with A-list celebrities, like Jennifer Lopez, and they all say nice things. You think, "Wow, they know me". You see people on TV and you remember they'd spoken to you at a party. But I also know that it's a story of boxers down the years.'

Khan explained: 'What you do in sparring is what you take into the fight. It looks amazing when you have a trainer who holds the pads for you, and you go "bang, bang, bang", and your hand speed is quick and the noise bounces around the gym. But you are not really learning anything. Freddie's a great trainer. I don't want him to think I blame him. It's just that I couldn't take any more in. I needed a different take, a different twist.'

'I felt Amir didn't have an understanding of boxing,' said Hunter, 60. 'You have to know when to do something and when not to, and how to execute a strategy.'

Khan recalled: 'Virgil looked at me and said, "Why the hell are you stood there? It only takes one shot to get through a gap. Think. Move away. Get your boxing head on".

'No one ever told me off like that before. He's disciplined, he's teaching me. He's made me a different fighter defensively. I shouldn't have been getting caught as I was. He said he didn't understand why I always went to war. He drilled into me that if I continued to fight like that I'd always be one punch away from getting hurt. Sometimes, being too ballsy is a bad thing. He's shown me it's better beating my opponent up instead of wanting to knock him out.'

'I will show Diaz total respect,' said Khan, whose world has been stripped to eat, train and rest. 'I remember there were those who said that Peterson and Garcia were not going to trouble me. In his last fight, Diaz got a draw on the undercard of my contest with Molina, against an unbeaten kid called Shawn Porter, who I have seen beating up Manny Pacquiao in training at the Wild Card gym.'

It seems to me that Khan have pulled himself together, which is good. I think he finally realizes that he only got himself to blame, his biggest enemy is his mentality, he needs to think in the ring and make the right decisions. No one can take from him that he have god gifted talents, and if he gets matured and more humble. I have no doubt he can rule the 140 division and compete against the top dogs at 147.

Julio Diaz got a draw against Shawn Porter a fighter Amir has seen beating up Manny in sparring....

Is that a dig at Manny or is he bigging up Diaz ?

Either way he should worry about himself and not make stupid remarks about private sparring sessions.I can only imagine how many times Amirs been flattened in sparring but you don't hear fellow fighters banging on about it in interviews. He really is an arsehole at the best of times is Amir...

Calm down. He's just bigging up Diaz. Trying to emphasise his threat.

Of course he's worried about himself. Did you happen to not read the rest of the interview where he's talked about all of the things he did wrong? Or is the tiny irrelevant bit about Porter sparring Pacquiao the only thing that caught your eye?

It kind of sounded like he was blaming others for his mistakes rather than himself tbh,the more he bigs up Virgil Hunter the more it sounds like he's shitting on Freddie Roach. He has achieved nothing yet with Virgil so if it does go pear shaped in he finds himself knocked out again who is he going to blame?

The last comment was the icing on the cake for me it seems he was having a pop at Manny and bigging himself up for fighting Diaz as well.Lets face it Diaz is a soft touch he should be fighting a tougher opponent if he plans on challenging for a world title at 140 or 147.

I like Amir Khan as a fighter I think he's a got an exciting style and his fights are edge of your seat but his attitude is that of a 12 year old child.

Virgil's defintly teaching him how to use that ring... I don't think Khan's footwork will ever be up to spec whereby he can use everything Virgil wants to teach him... But it's better than nothing.

Just with his style alone sometimes when he comes in from far with a combo he is left open in a dead zone where he needs abit of time for his feet to catch up so he can move away.

 I think he's trying to imply all the things he is doing diffidently from before, which of course makes him come across as putting others down. His best bet would be to stfu and train, but then he probably feels he won't get the exposure.

:rofl If you wanna' take his comments and construe them to the complete opposite of what he's saying, then there's very little I can say to you.

"I blame myself because I could have done things differently" <--- Yeah, that totally means he's blaming others instead of himsef. :nut:patsch
