******Rigo v Donaire - Build-up Thread*****

This is what I keep seeing. It's like when people thought Audley was going to take charge against Haye. It's just not in Rigo's nature.

 

Donaire is simply the better fighter imo. Donaire by KO or Donaire by UD if Rigo feels the power and becomes negative.

 

I love that Rob voted for Rigo twice, using his multiple alts.

How long until he rolls out Big Dunk!?

 

Rigo looking a bit nervous there, IMO. As he should. The height/size difference is going to play a part in this, I think.

 

Kellerman (I think) made a good point last time out that Donaire has the mentality of Ray Leonard in some ways. He's got that steel core where he'll stand in punching range so he can get his own shots off. He also seems to be in a mental zone where he just isn't intimidated. Even Darchinyan couldn't get to him.

Rigo has a massive task ahead. I'm even more certain that Donaire is just going to bully him.

lots of rumors about Donaires training camp. His wife is pregnant and is having a difficult pregnancy. has been commuting between LA & Vegas throughout the camp, tried to call off the fight a few weeks back.

 

its amazing to look at the size difference to think donaire was a flyweight....am i right in saying rigo was always the weight he is now as an amatuer ?...bantamweight at amateur that he competed at is 56kg, right ?
so...thats what....5 years ago donaire was 10lbs lighter than rigo ?

maybe its an optical illusion and rigo is small for his weight...i remember people saying donaire was small at super bantam

 

I'd heard that. But if it makes him more comfortable to see his wife (who he clearly dotes on) then it shouldn't make any difference. He looks in supreme shape, he doesn't seem distracted.

 

I heard a rumour donaire has been looking so bad in sparring that Conte left him because he didn't want to lose the dick waving contest with Memo.

 

Donaire is taller but thats about it. watch the weigh in and look at Donaires legs. There so skinny, looks at Rigos. He has a bigger back, legs, shoulders. whats important for a boxer.
