If he's brand new to the sport, I would try and give him a short but eventful fight. Although they're thrilling for us, 12-round wars like Corrales-Castillo and even Gatti-Ward would still require patience for someone who's not used to watching boxing. I've shown them to quite a few friends and they didn't appreciate them as much as I hoped they would.

Give them something short with one or two knockdowns. A fight which swings in momentum and leaves them guessing on who's gonna' win.

    Taylor Chavez
Tyson Ruddock 1. The prefight banter was great too

Those were the two that not only really got me excited about boxing but the sweet science as well. You see how both fighters adjust to the fight and it makes you think what you would do yourself in those situations (ie a smaller mike tyson vs a bigger meaner looking guy like Ruddock)

Also cause Chavez looked amazing in red trunks. No homo.

this is harder than I thought..... I thought JLC vs Chico would be a clear favorite.... but maybe the fact that its 30 mins is too long......
Tyson fights are short and sweet..... I mean.... Tyson is the first boxer I remember watching too...

I couldn’t resist making my first post but here ^__^
As Rico mention, the Hamed - Kelly fight has got to be the one.
Show your friend the pre-hype vids of the trash talk first though, very good build up! :D

I would usually show my friends that fight, or the Maidana - Ortiz fight.
The fight was very back & forth, and plenty of knock downs to keep them intrigued!
    Pretty short fight too! :D

    Herol Graham vs Julian Jackson.

A boxing master class, followed by an execution.

Why is everyone dismissing a 12 round war? That's how I started.
