    The guy won his last big amateur title in 2005,yet didnt go pro until 2009.

    Imagine if he had been able to go pro in 2006 instead of 2009.

    Just those 3 extra years could have seen him fight 10 more fights.

    He'd have cleaned everyone out by now.

    Hey isrishny, what about a showdown with Frampton in Ireland ? I'm sure Hyde can work it out. It should sell huge. Do you think Frampton is ready?

    its sad that rigo wont be around for long.. maybe 2 more fights before age really catches up

    He has so few miles on him that he could EASILY be a Martinez-type late-30s pound-for-pound champion. Dude was moving last night like he was in his early 20s.

    Rigo hasn't taken that much punishment and fights in a conservative style.
    I think he can fight even at age 40, just avoid going too far in weight where punchers can ruin him.

    Not sure if he is...not sure if he'll ever be ready for Rigo.

    That said, hes probably as good a fighter out there right now,not named Guillermo and who Rigo hasnt already beaten.

    He'll certainly put up a lot better fight than Casey though!

    it is great that he got the chance to fight a legit P4P fighter in his prime. he had to do it after only 12 fights cause of the rush. now we know that rigo is the goods at pro, even though he does not have the time to have an ATG career I think he could of.

    I like Frampton ,I agree not ready for Rigo but ready for anybody else left at 122.

    If he had gone pro earlier he would almost be as good as Amir Khan. Now hes a few notches below and is a bit too old to reach Khans level.

    I'm thinking of the bw and sbw divisions and I can't think of anyone over the last 3 years that I'd expect to beat rigo (with hindsight).

    hasagawa, montiel, Moreno, Perez, agbeko, darchinyan, mares, lsc, donaire... The bw division has had some big names in it then obviously the likes of arce and nishioka at sbw. He could have carved out a solid legacy.

    Remains to be seen if he has the time now.
