AnI thought that before last night, and now im even more sure. Mares would pressure the **** out of Nonito. He might get caught and hurt coming in a few times, but Donaire is not a good finisher. In fighting, Mares dominates IMO. he wouldnt give Donaire any room to breath, and wouldnt let Donaire load up on his hook. Donaire likes to fight from the outside, amd Mares wouldnt let him. One thing I gathered from last nite, Donaire is mentally weak,easily frustrated when things dont go his way. He would be looking for that one shot, while Mares roughs him up, beats him up hitting FLASH in the back of the head,nuts, landing combos. Mares ID 12, 116-112. Donaire would outclass Mares although he does need to go back to his Boxing rather than this one punch **** he's been doing recently.

About 12 months ago I was at a boxing gym looking for a story to report on. I was told by an insider that Conte would regularly call Garcia to report that Donaire missed yet another workout. They said that Nonito would regularly even miss training sessions with Garcia. They spoke of him as an arrogant fighter (like Chavez Jr.)and I was warned that his wife was vindictive and that I should think twice about reporting on the topic or suffer her wrath. I am certain that Mares would have outboxed him as well as Nonito would not have taken him seriously.
I think Donaire beats Mares easy. Styles make fights and Mares is all right for Donaire just like Rigo was all wrong for him.
