I thought Donaire would win on points beforehand the main reason i thought Rigondeaux would give away too many early rounds.

The judge that gave it 114-113 to Rigondeaux really don't know how he was clearly ahead?I thought 116-111 was about right.

Didn't watch the fight last night, fell asleep before the fight, will watch it today if I can. I know the result - was unavoidable.

Very surprised, genuinely thought Donaire would rush in, bypass the jab, and finish the fight early on. Seems like Donaire fought Rig's preferred fight, silly tactic.

IMO Donaire would have got KO'd if he had rushed in. He was very wary throughout the fight for good reason, Rigondeaux isn't a powder puff puncher. I think that was the reason for it being 'boring' in some peoples eyes, Rigondeaux was always going to fight that fight, but Donaire's reluctance to aggressively pursue him may have surprised.

I think Rig showed in the last round, injury or not...that he had the power to do serious damage if Donaire took liberties so that was what made Donaire's night very difficult.

Too true. Rigo got Donaire to respect his power early on.

I for one got my prediction totally wrong. Rigo really surprised me and Donaire disappointed. It was just so hard for me to see a pretty much one handed fighter like Rigo do that to Donaire.

Very true about Rigo's punching power getting Donaires respect early on.

This thread has some great gifs showing some of the key punches in the fight

Can't wait to watch the fight, I just couldn't keep my eyes open last night....

Was it a good fight, boring, an intriguing chess match, a war?

Some have said it was a **** fight. Was it?
