Jim Jeffries is only known to have had 12 profesional fights when he won the title. In practice he might have had a few more.
This amateur pro/ thing is starting to become blurred. Good fighters have been pushed on faster in the last few years although Rigondeuax having 12 pro fights in 4 yrs isn't a blinding rate for an experienced amateur who hasn't got time on his side. Rigondeuax is 32 yrs old and not your typical 12 fight novice of yesteryear
Yes but come on, this is not exactly someone who had 40 amateurs then 12 pros. I keep saying to people on here that amateur is just as hard as pro but just a little different and this proves it.
Not as good but for the record David Reid (he of the droopy eyelid) beat the decent Laurent Boudouani in his twelfth fight for a 'world' title.
I can't think of one. Has any other fighter in history been able to lay a legitimate claim (arguable, but legitimate) to the P4P no. 1 spot after just 12 fights as a pro?
:deal ^ this Although it wasn't as decisive as Rigo-Donaire it was a better win imo, over 15 rounds & a much better fight too.
