Not really thread worthy, but it's something fun for the weekend. This is MT ATG Silapathai Jockey Gym (Blue) taking on a former 2 time stadium champ Komsun Saknarin in Rajadamnern Stadium in the early 90s. The KO your about to see is truly a thing of beauty no matter what combat sport you watch........:scaredas: [yt]OyyAXcWrq5A[/yt]
Unreal. Sums the sport up in the golden age; everyone running into wood chippers wielding machetes. Arguably the most brutal thing you've uploaded. Very humbling to know there are many, many people much smaller than me that could do a thorough disservice
Good post BoranBKK. Silapathai was a damn tricky fighter. Kicked my man kaensak in the head to get the win, made the great Chamukpet look slow, in the rematch with veeraphol he looked untouchable, beat up Komkiat sor thanikul(good fight). You know Somrak also liked the back elbow, but I never seen him produce a picture perfect KO from it. a very good hl of Silapathai [YT]chpgnxqUGgE[/YT]
Good HL I'd never seen it before but Samkor always does good HLs. :good Your right Silapathai was a tricky fighter but technically sound in all areas and very very fluid. He'd flow from one technique effortlessly into another without even the slightest bit of telegraphing, very dangerous to face. His advantages and fluidity all come form his uncanny ability to turn his hip with unsual lighting speed giving him the ability to launch a quick and very powerful strike out of nowhere with full force, making his counter kicks very hard to defend against or anticipate. His main weapon was his back power leg which is all about his hip! Any one starting MT should watch the relaxed yet fluid and speedy manner in which he turns his hip into everything....MT 101......don't concentrate on striking with the shin or foot concentrate on turning that hip as fast and fluidly as you can, it automatically pulls the leg round with it much faster and more relaxed, hence generating more power, speed and is less restricted in range of motion by not being tensed before contact. Your right he not only mixed it with the best but beat them in style very often going up in weight. He was naturally a very small guy. Anyway, he's another Thai ATG and what would you expect form a man named Silapathai which translates as "Thai Art"! My old mate Komkiet always gave a good fight, but was never quite elite there or there about but never quite got onto that final level. I have more of his fights to post by the way that are not already on Youtube, so stay tuned Yaca.
Didn't know where to post this clip so posted it here as it's another outrageous Thai KO. I realise KOs like this happen in MMA, but in top tier MT form Thailand they are pretty rare. It's another thing of beauty....... [yt]8OvcQw-lGWc[/yt] Thanks to livemuaythaiguy for the upload and Excectioner on FSA for the post.
