Andre Berto has accomplished all he is going to accomplish in boxing, his brother fights MMA, Berto should try it as well.
Darchinyan said he wanted to fight in mma i know his old but would still be funny to see him try it out
The thing is Mixed Martial Arts is highly competitive and very hard to get to a place like The UFC without already having a name for yourself (Brock Lesnar, James Toney, Kimbo Slice). Not any Boxers that I can think of, but Mike Alvarado is someone who grew up Wrestling. I believe he could have an easier time than others. Even still, I doubt we will have a Boxer crossover in this lifetime and work his way into the World Stage.
Kermit Cintron. If they would really take the time to learn some fundamentals of grappling some could be decently successful. Look at old man Mercer. Guy shows you how much a punch means. Add some Takedown defense to a guy like that, and you get a future version of JDS! lol JDS, up until his last fight, showed you how a guy whom doesn't kick much, doesn't wrestle, doesn't look for the sub, etc can excel with boxing and TDD.
I don't know why any halfway established boxer would move to MMA really. It's highly unlikely that they'd receive equal or greater money from MMA.
Too much to learn or unlearn in a very short space of time. Remember in addition to some form of a ground game they'd also have to learn how to defend against, the kick, knee elbow and how to handle a stand up clinch, all alien to a guy who's been restricted to fighting with just his fists for over 20 years.
Multiple time cruisersweight kickboxing king Nathan "carnage" Corbett . Would be absolutely embarrassing what he would do to the best light heavyweight mma guys in stand up .. Everytime rogan goes on about people like shogun ruas "muay Thai " it disgusts me ...
Im still waiting for peter graham to get the call up for the UFC. Im surprised he didnt get picked up by M1, could be something in that... chances are dana has no idea who he is or isnt interested because hes 38..
After watching Gavin Rees Fight Broner, can't help but think he would be a force in MMA. It would put Ross Pearson train to sleep don't doubt that.
Coulda fooled me, he seems to be talking himself into a high profile MMA fight by mouthing off and indirectly calling out a high profile UFC fighter of the same weight class.....
