rigondeaux is the type of fighter i love. similar to mayweather, ward and broner only they all bring something different to the table yet are all highly skilled 'boring' fighters.

if you didn't enjoy that boxing masterclass then you should really find a new sport

i think its kinda like football (soccer) fans who though inter-barca was 'anti-football'. it wasn't it was just excellent defensive skills by a great, organised team.

not every fighter needs to be mickey ward or erik morales

Many casual viewers don't even like the violence and brutality in boxing. its what turns them off.

I have friends who will watch a floyd fight or someone with skill. It's watching a clinic. symphony of moving parts

Very entertaining. Don't understand the complaints of it being boring. Surely these folks aren't boxing fans.

Yup that was awesome and I had pegged Donaire to win.

Fascinating, illuminating, and def not a fight to miss, but entertaining?

Sure, the beginning, the end, and lots of little moments in-between, but overall it definitely had moments where you just wanted to go finish your taxes.

I'm sure all you "true boxing fans" are enjoying patting yourselves on your collective backs for understanding what made this fight great & important, (me too) but don't tell me you were on the edge of your seats for every minute of every round.

    - And the fault, of course, lies completely with "WTF do I do now?" Donaire.

Great fight, but it wasn't exactly Hagler-Leonard.

It was an enjoyable, and tense fight, despite the lack of action.

I didn't sit down the entire fight. I couldn't believe it was so good. I was rooting for Rigo, but I thought Donaire would out class him.

I enjoyed every second of it. I was on my feet for almost the entire fight.

You and me both. I have it paused with 39 seconds left in the 10th round as I type this. I love that round because he gets knocked down, gets right up and is as calm as if he were about to go for a massage. He boxes very well and makes Donaire miss three big shots and then sticks his arms out like, "Why can't you hit me?" Guillermo clearly won the rest of the round. So, in a weird way, I am glad the knockdown happened. Maybe it will put the glass jaw bull**** to rest for a while.
