Rigo may have taken his heart, we'll have to see how Donaire performs in his next fight and see if he moves up in weight too.
Like stated above I see him as a definite hall of famer ATG is still questionable. Donaire was just beat by a better boxer but he still has a long career ahead of him.
ATG's like JMM Barrera Morales and PAC wouldn't have lost 11 out of 12 rounds in their most meaningful fight, while being P4P ranked top 5, height reach power.
if there was anyone from this era that i was picking to be an ATG, it was Ward & Nonito.. i'm not sure if this loss affects him, because Rigo could end up being special, and it depends on what Donaire does after this fight..
Cleaning house at 126 and 130 is his only path to be a high ranking ATG. He'll be top 100 if he succeeds only in winning titles at 126 and 130. But HOF is well within reach.
And how would you know ? They never fought Rigo. **** happens. Fact is that Donaire was the champ at three different divisions. Knocked two P4P fighters out cold with ease. Retired old men Nishioka and Arce with ease. i believe that both Montiel and Vic the dick will get into the HOF. Donaire is a great fighter.
Donaire is an elite level fighter But his style is all wrong for Rigo. **** happens, there are some fights you cant win.
Who knows, maybe much like Pac-JMM, one guy actually has his number. Then against everyone else, Donaire would be spectacular once again.
