Was a disgrace to see Kosta pick .on an old Chavez. Prime JCC makes Kosta quit.on his.stool np doubt about it! (HATTON STYLE)
HI think it would depend on the Tszyu the young Chavez is fighting. The Tszyu that lost to Philipps was too confident on his power and forgot what gave him success in the ams. That one will get stopped violently. But the Tszyu that stopped Judah, outboxed Tackie among others is a calm, calculating puncher who could match Chavez' power and offer him movement. That one is a toss-up.
The Julio Cesar Chavez of the Edwin Rosario fight or the Roger Mayweather fight would beat almost anybody.
Firstly .. Tszyu publicly said he wasn't keen on fighting Chavez .. but the WBC threatened to strip him and had made Chavez a mandatory/no.1 defense. Tszyu had no choice .. and still agreed to fight Chavez in the US as well with a pro Chavez crowd. Secondly, I don't think anyone beats Tszyu easily. Having watched every fight of his from ams to pros, I can't find one where he's clearly hurt by a body punch. Hatton probably has the best success, but that's an old and injury plagued Tszyu who retired afterwards. The Tszyu that fought MAG to me is a nice mix of brutal power and patience. I can't pick against Chavez, but I don't think anyone is a 100% sure bet against Tszyu, one of the most powerful punchers at 140 in history and a boxer who could change up his game when required. Would have loved to see them in their primes go at it.
Prime for prime I think its hard fought but a fairly comfortable win by points or stoppage for Chavez. Tszyu imo is not an ATG type fighter. He was great, but not ATG. I thought he was to robotic and got handily worn down and stopped by Vince Phillips, who Tszyu wanted no part of after. Chavez is just in another league, the ATG league, and thats a fact!
Tszyu so overated. Not in the same league. Chavez in his prime stops Tszyu in about 8 onesided ass shafting rounds.
That's boxing, out with the old and in with the new. I would favor JCC in a bruising, vicious type of fight but KT would absolutely give him the fight of his lifetime. Neither man would be the same I think, that kind of fight shortens careers. JCC wasn't quite the same at 140 as he was at 130 and 135. The HOF selectors apparently know a **** of a lot more than posters on this board. KT was one of the greatest amateurs in history and he is most emphatically an ATG. Nobody is a lock against him, especially someone moving up in weight. No matter how great he is, and JCC is ****ing great.
Zoo fought JCC because the crooked WBC forced his hand. I agree prime Chavez wins handily but not a domination.
