Pulev is 32 years old in 2 weeks, can he still be considered a 'prospect'?

Yes, he has prospects.

 

He only turned pro in 2009 so that would explain the lack of fights. To be fair to Pulev he has been matched quite well- he fought Skelton in only his fifth fight and has fought nigh on all of the fringe contenders in the division. I do think he needs a decent test this year though.

 

32 for a HW is reasonably young anyway, he can easily go on for another 4-5 years. In a lighter division he'd be reaching the end of his career but I think it's just about acceptable for a 32 year old Heavy to be viewed as a prospect.

 

The term prospect has nothing to do with age, he has only been pro 4 years so I guess he could still be considered a prospect, some people stop calling fighters prospects when they become top contenders like Pulev is.

 

I like watching Fury fight and have been to a lot of his fights.

But if he fights Pulev you will see a highlight reel overhand right KO.

Pulev will take his head off~!!!

 

I don't see Fury going anywhere near Pulev in the near future- much more likely is another American if he defeats Cunningham.

My point is, I think you are always a prospect at least until you retire for good. No matter who you are. Never to old, until you give up.

Are people being serious rating this guy as a potential heavyweight ruler when the Klitschko's go? Im sure Fury beats him... Povetkin, Haye, Chambers, Arreola aswell.. Any decent heavyweight should get rid of Ustinov early and most do get rid of Walker!! Not in the best of shape, lacks power and isn't particularly good at anything.
