Where are the Smart Boxing Bets to be made in coming fights?

Betting the draw? Do you guys like to blindly close your eyes when you play darts in hope that something sticks? Might as well just make it a running parlay with a draw in there. That's more winnable than the lotto.

 

I've just checked and Paddy Power have Broner 1/20 to beat Paulie. That's insanity.

 

It's not it's just a long shot. You can throw a five and have fun with it but betting on draws is rarely the way to go.

I'll admit, if there's a fight to do it on it's that one. What's the odds on a draw. 30/1?

I would put some Money on Trout... Im going to put a modest 200$ bet on him.. I would bet more but im afraid of Canelo getting a gift decision! Canelo is Oscars golden egg..

This fight is kinda like the Rigo-Donaire fight in the sense that it's a 50-50 fight and you could get odds on one of the fighters.. Proceed with caution though as I mentioned earlier. Good luck on your bets

 

Dont get crazy betting all the underdogs....thats how they get you.

Zab is a 4 round fighter and we saw what Khan did to him, and Danny already beat Khan.

Trout is the cool choice right now, but truth is that Canelo is a beast.

I would leave those two fights alone, and bet heavy on Peterson, and also on Chilemba. Take that advice you'll be 2-0. I do this for a living honestly lol say what you want.

 

It's fine as long as you understand the match-ups and manage your bankroll.

Betting heavy on specific fights is rarely the go to move. I mean, it's high risk.

I don't bet often but when I do I'm more of a low-risk gambler. We have different philosophies I guess. But 28/1 is about a 3.6% chance which is not terrible odds. Getting two judges to agree is never easy, I'd say the chances of a draw are in the 2-3% in my personal opinion.

 

I agree, what I meant more was since this was a thread asking for opinions, my opinion is that if you were gonna bet on a bunch of fights, I think it would be better to instead bet that money on Peterson and Chilemba which are pretty clear fights in my opinion.

 

Agreed on Chilemba, he proved to be a superior fighter who just didn't fight the right fight until too late.

I don't think Peterson is a safe bet. Matthysse is the network guy these days and he's on a bit or a tear. Peterson is outstanding but he's always liked to work the body, which puts him right there for body punches. I can see Matthysse breaking him down and winning a decision, but I wouldn't say t's dumb to bet on Peterson, just not a whole ton.

I wouldn't bet heavy on Judah-Garcia either. Judah could win it if he turns in an actual performance. I favor Garcia because he's on a roll right now and he's a beast, but a focused Zab could pull it off, especially at home.

I think Alvarez has been given enough problems by lesser fighters than Trout. I remember thinking that Gomez was having a lot of success in their fight and that it was stopped way too early. Also, who's the best southpaw he's fought, Rhodes? I see Trout running away with this fight despite Alvarez getting to him a few times. Alvarez has looked like a beast but his opponents have been very overmatched. Trout hasn't fought anyone but Cotto, really, but he showed a lot in that fight.

As someone who's just getting into betting, do I understand you right--you'd prefer to bet on just 2 fights rather than spread it over a bunch of them?

If you're going to bet on Trout, which I am considering, I don't know why you wouldn't take him by decision. On Bet365, for example, you get +280 instead of +170. Others go from +200 to +300.
