    " Atlas was an assistant to D'Amato, although his role in the catskill boxing club was short lived. His duties included assisting in the training of D'Amato's teenage protégé Mike Tyson. However, Atlas left the camp in 1983 following an altercation with the 16 year old Tyson after Tyson had been sexually inappropriate with a 12 year old female relative of Atlas's (Tyson said he had grabbed the girl's buttocks). Atlas put a .38 caliber handgun to Tyson's ear and told him to never touch his family again or he would kill him if he did. This altercation between Atlas and a young Mike Tyson led to Atlas' dismissal from the Catskill Boxing Club and he was told he was no longer welcome in D'Amato's home or around any of his adopted children (his fighters which he legally adopted-Tyson included)."

    That scar he has from a knife-fight ...400 stitches.

    I would have been impressed if he actually beat Tyson's ass, not hold a gun to his head...

    Yeaa...thats what someone has to do to impress you? Beat the future best heavyweight champion to ever live in a fist fight lol your easy to please.

    so he pointed a gun at a 16 year old kid, he got stabbed

    that makes him a G, damn i know quite a few 'g's' then - but I prefer to call them scumbags (not calling teddy one).

    Seriously all this G ****, should be embarrassing to anyone older than 12, especially if you do it few times or more (then its beyond a joke)

    It would have been much more "G" if he beat his ass then pulling a gun on a 16 year old kid. I doubt this ever even happened though. Hasn't Tyson denied it?

    I applaud Atlas for not being afraid to speak his mind on what's wrong with boxing, but sometimes I don't know with him. I wouldn't be surprised if that scar on his face was from some kind of accident when he was younger.

    He needed to pull a gun on a 16-year old because he was too weak to fight him without. Hmm....

    Have you seen a 15-16 year old Tyson fight? He probably would have beaten the **** out of Teddy.

    Doesn't change the fact that a grown ass man who wants to talk about how tough he is has to pull a gun on a kid. If you brag about being a tough bad ass, then pulling a gun on someone unarmed kinda goes against that. Of course, I doubt this **** ever happened like that. I think Teddy would have got his head knocked off, even with a gun.

    I would do the same if someone did that to my family...wouldnt you? You should.

    Im not sure your entitled to being treated with respect or a fair fight after doing that to a girl.

    **** Teddy Atlas. This guy is worthless. He has NO name if Tyson wasn't born. He isn't a ****ing gangster, he isn't a boxer, he sure as hell isn't a trainer. Atlas is just a loud mouthed idiot who is still living off the fame of knowing a teenage Tyson.

    Lol. First of all, this story comes from Atlas so believe it if you want too. Secondly, Teddy will be the first one to tell you that all you have to do is stand up to Tyson and he will buckle under the pressure. So, him being as tough as he claims, should have been able to walk up to a mentally weak Tyson, ***** smack him, and laugh about it because according to him that is all you have to do. Atlas is a ***** because, in his opinion, Tyson was mentally weak and couldn't handle someone standing up to him. Now this is his opinion of a championship level Tyson. Why would you need a gun for a 16 year old Tyson who is no doubt even more mentally fragile when you are such a bad man yourself???
