Laurence Cole has been listed as a judge on boxrec.

Cole is really a ref. He has judged all of five fights since 2003. And he is not even highly regarded as a ref. So at best, he is going to be an incompetent judge. If that's the case, it probably benefits Trout because he is the dog, at least if you believe the betting lines.

But there are major questions about Cole's honesty. He's the son of some sort of higher official and slimed his way to his job, from which he has been suspended for telling JMM that he was ahead on the score cards after a cut, implying that he could quit and win a TD. Unbelievably, he also has an insurance company that specializes in dealing with promoters of combat sports.

I'm sure many of you knew that stuff about Cole already, but I didn't. For them to suddenly chose this guy to judge his 6th fight in ten years... sounds an awful lot like they wanted a "team player." That would, of course, benefit Canelo.

I always found it funny how leading up to the canelo fight he complained about not being 100% vs mayweather and pacquiao and said with canelo you will see a mosely at a 100%. Which would explain why he fought more active with Canelo. He took a beating from canelo and never stopped throwing mother ****er has one of the best chins.
