Where would you rank Rigondeaux's footwork amongst any fighter at present?

I think he may be the best fighter today at avoiding the ropes and getting corned

Along with everything else Rigo does, his footwork's peerless.

 

He and Hopkins are top table.

 

Let's wait until he fights Mares first :hey (not disagreeing just curious to see if he can be the first to thoroughly out-maneuver him.)

 

Seconded, although Donaire's never been a great fighter at cutting exit routes and neither have the rest of Rigondeaux's opponents. I have trouble picturing anybody right now trapping him with any consistency, though. Dude's so quick, explosive, and cerebral with his footwork.

 

I was just watching a highlight video and after watching the fight I can safely say that his footwork is amazing and it really makes you appreciate how much skill you need to so tht how good/great footwork can really impact a fight

I do have some reservations about the way he crosses his feet when trying make his opponent second-guess his direction..."stepping" forward and back and switching stances. As long as you can switch-hit a bit and are prepared to it's a good tactic, but if not then you're out of position to throw and that's a problem.
