Sergio, he is too good of a boxer, he will hit and move and trinidad wasnt the fastest on his feet, dare i say it would end up like the Chavez fight - I think Tito would come on strong towards the later rounds against a tiring Martinez, but not enough. Tito would eat jabs and straight lefts and would always be late, Martinez would be first and would get out at an angle. Martinez has the power to KO tito, but Trinidad would not be stupid enough to rush in, that will play into martinez's hands as he would box, towards the end Tito would give it his all and try to come from behind and win by stoppage, but Sergio with in the bag would see it to the final bell. 117-111 - Sergio Martinez
I think Maravilla has too much pop for Tito at 160. He would make Tito respect him. Maravilla wins on points.
At 147 : Trinidad by KO : Martinez was not the fighter he would become here, and of course, Titos a beast. I think while Martinez is awesome, there are lapses and gaps in his game that will be exploited by a fast, powerful and prime Trinidad that would lead to Tito stopping Martinez around the 8th or 9th round. At 154 : Toss up or slight Trinidad edge : Trinidad was a savage here too, and Martinez started to find himself here.... would have been a very even money fight in my mind, imo. Just not sure, when I start to favor one, then I think on something else and the tides turn a little. Hard to call for me. Id probably favor Trinidad ever so slightly. Again, I think the lapses in Martinez's game (usually winds up allowing himself to get hit too much some point in a fight) would be his potential undoing against a non stop killer like Tito was at 154 in his prime. But the potential is so high too that Martinez can win here that its close to even for me, I kinda feel its whoever gets to eachother first at 154. Both had the ammunition to make this a short night. At 160 : Martinez by TKO : I just think Martinez at 160 hits concussively. Trinidad, while great, I don't think would stand up to those kind of shots... and I think Martinez's speed, activity, and movement would give him the edge on landing more of his shots with Tito's seek and destroy mentality will have him in front of Martinez for the most part, and I think at this weight Martinez is too strong and too powerful for Tito to get away with it like he would at 147 and possibly 154, where it would turn from Tito walking Martinez down, to Tito walking into Martinez's power. Idk... just imo
Hands too low, Tito Trinidad makes an example outta him. Sergio Martinez doesn't throw enough combinations to be effective here, Tito's punches will add up and Martinez' brain will be slushed. Tito Trinidad TKO12.
