Mares beats Rigo Down! PRESSURE BURSTS PIPES!

    MAres is underated, dude has beat an impressive list of opponents. How do you beat an A+ Boxer like Rigo????? Try to outbox him??? **** no. You beat boxers like that with smart & calculated pressure. Mares would bullrush Rigo, he would take some counters to land his blows. He'd make Rigo uncomfortable, make it a high pace fight, throw a **** load of punches. Mares is a good in fighter, applies smart pressure, can make things dirty if he has to. He's also a versatile fighter, who has seen many styles, & has underated power. Mares may get dropped in the process coming in, but IMO wins a 8-4 type decision. Donaire is a **** pressure fighter, he did not look good trying to pressure Rigo, did not take risks or have the hi workrate a pressure fighter should. Rigo had a outstanding performance against Nonito, but he's up and down as a fighter, looked like CHIT against Marroquin & Cordoba. He's not UNBEATABLE. Mares has the perfect style.to give Rigo hell. Wpuld look like Mares vs Moreno.... Hopefully Rigo goes.to GBP & we can see this fight

    Moreno and Rigo are similar but Rigo hits harder and even slicker.
    Styles make a fight, Mares can give Rigo some problems but I don't think he beats him.

    You pressure Rigo you get knocked out, that's what people don't get, I like Abril but Rigo isn't Abril Rigo puts Mares to sleep.

    It sounds simple on paper but there is a reason why donaires output was so low and why he was hesitant to engage


    Rigo counters u and counters you hard... Mares will get tamed into being gunshy after 3 rounds or he will get KO'd coming in (like hatton v mayweather)

    Mares can do it. I got to re-review the footage but I think he is more stylistic conducive to Rigo than Donaire.

    Rigo is NOT Moreno...

    too much of a sharp shooter. Moreno goes with the flow, Rigo is in control and makes you fight his fight..

    Mares has underrated skills. He is a BOXER-puncher with great timing. He's not going to wait around like Donaire. He will set up traps and create openings by pressuring Rigo.

    Yeah, I do most of the time. Still think Rigo will be successful at dropping Abner's output as the fight goes on. He rains very hard, very well timed and placed counters on you with alarming speed. He'll be expending a lot more energy with his wheels than he ever needed to against Donaire though.

    I think he will put up a better fight. Sure he'll risk getting put on ice but it doesn't guarantee it will happen. Good fight.

    Mares will definitely put up a better fight, and has a better stylistic matchup than Donaire did.. However I still believe Rigo will down his output. Would be a great scrap.
