Rigondeaux In the Olympics throwing 3-5 punch combination

Haven't been on here for a long time but wow. A lot of people are up Rigondeaux's ass now haha.

If you guys want to see some masterful footwork and boxing skills, check out the 2004 Olympics games. He literally toys with all of his opponents.

 

How would you compare it to Lomachenko's 2008 campaign? They share a common opponent (Sooltonov). Lomachenko 13-1, Rigondeaux 27-13. Personally I think Lomachenko in Beijing was the ATG olympic performance.

I'm trying to discuss and compare the careers of the two greatest amateurs in recent times with someone who at least respects the amateur game. I didn't bring up Lomachenko in this thread. And I didn't see the disclaimer saying that this thread is strictly for Rigo worship. What do you bring? Some homosexual projecting?

look at the movemant, the footwork, the easyness of him moving, the guy is in a roy jones jr. sugar ray leonard kind of level, doesnt get any higher than this in boxing.

 

The majority of the top Cuban amateurs fight like that, it's a shame so many so called boxing fans don't really follow the sport.

 

Just think how much better boxing would be if Cuba wasn't a socialist, closed country. We're talking Mexico, Puerto Rico level and arguably better. Cubans don't get into pro boxing until they've escaped the country and on the decline.

Would anybody be talking about Donaire had Rigo been free to fight in the USA after his 1st Gold? I seriously doubt it. Rigo would have been at the top many years ago.

Wish he would have turned the tempo up a bit on Donaire, he may have been able to get a stoppage imo, but also would leave himself open.
