That was a sparring session, as soon as Canelo stepped on the gas Gomez got sent flying across the ring and if the ref hadn't of stopped it EARLY he would have been hurt.

Well then super middleweights are cruiswerweights on fight night.

Is that right? Or does that BS law of weight class measurement only apply when you want it to?

I don't know how fans only found out about what the day-before weigh ins do regarding in-ring weight a few months back.

Was Victor Ortiz a super middleweight in his fight against Floyd Mayweather?!?!?! Because he weighed 164 pounds in the ring!!! No, dumbasses. There is no rules in boxing regarding what you can weigh entering the ring unless those are set out in individual fight contracts.

Trout must use the jab to the body early on as he did against Cotto. Canelo is more stationary than Cotto, so i don't expect him to bounce on his feet as much as Cotto as shown against Floyd and Trout. I think Canelo will win it if it's a close fight, but i think Trout has the tools to outbox him for 12 rounds.

    LOL

Canelo stands right in front of his opponents. Trout moves like a gazelle.

Not sure where some of you guys are getting the idea that Canelo is slow of foot and a complete plodder. He's perfectly comfortable moving back, but he has decent speed. One reason I think he'll get a decision though, is that he does selectively surge forward and that should give him the nod on aggression with most judges. Anyway, he is conscious of distance and is not going to just shuffle forward and let Trout pick him apart. He does neglect to parry sometimes, if he is indifferent to the punches, which is worrisome, but some of you guys are making him sound like a mannequin.

He's pretty straight up and down; especially when he's not on the offensive.

Canelo has much more power than Cotto at this stage of the game. Trout won't be as comfortable as he was against Cotto. I am sensing some heavy body shots from Canelo.
