Dunky you know I care for you brother and refuse to go against a Scottish brother especially after you and Top Dog have made Ajose and I honourary Scotmen, which is an honour we wear with pride.

As far as I am concerned rather than slagging of Alex Arthur people should be commending him for taking on a top fighter like Guzman. If AA prevails then there can be no arguments period and like David Haye humbling by Karl Thompson the defeat against Michael Gomez would have served its purpose.

I have been studying this fight and while Guzman is good the key for AA to win is to follows similar tactics to early Ken Norton versus Ali 1 or Vernon Forrest versus Shane Mosley 1. An effective jab particularly double jab , hook and straight punches through the middle will be crucial.

Best wishes mate and Long Live the Flower of Scotland.

    Dude knows his stuff !

I must be getting pumped up for this as i am now utterly convinced Alex is going to win despite the analytical side of my brain protesting.

Anyone making the trip from Glasgow ?

    Who's slagging him off? :huh

Most people are picking Guzman (on the grounds he's a far better fighter in terms of in ring credentials and actual talent) - but I'm not seeing the 'hate' that you guys seem to be...

    EXACTLY.

It's almost as if...if you don't pick Arthur, your giving him abuse and/ or your a complete ****.

Madness, I'm picking Guzman on the basis of his ability. I've went to a good few of Arthur's fights and have always supported him. I will continur to vs Guzman but I do not think Arthur will win.

Meadowbank is about 2 miles outside city centre, but its an easy walk/taxi ride. We'll all be bouncing in town.

Arthur has two options. Cremation or burial.

Hey, I heard Kevin Mitchell has a look at Eastside from time to time. So are you the fighter Kevin Mitchell? Or just a fanboy who loves Kevin Mitchell so much he has called himself Kevin Mitchell, & has Kevin Mitchell pic as his avatar?
Or are you a big Kevin Mitchell fan whose name just also happens to be Kevin Mitchell?

Its the question on everyones lips in here, even though they are all pretending to be 'cool' & not bothered. Trust me. I know how these ESB british forum Divas operate in here. & they are a bitchy bunch. Right bitchy bitches.

Jeez, just when I thought it was safe to post here again, Robbi comes back in the dead of night to haunt my proud scottish ass with prophecies of doom. Falkirk u ****in K. They dont love you Robbi. Remember my words of wisdom Falkirker. There will come the day when you say to yourself "That ***** dunky, he was right all along."
Dont shoot the man that passed the message. There is a word for him, & it has an R at the end. Now Im off to have a fantasic day.

Olu is a smart cookie, Topdog & my good self realised that when we used to argue with him a while back! some here think we have some daft afro-jock alliance going, they just dont realise that some posters can argue & debate, & gain respect for their opponent in the process. Thats what happened with us. & to be honest, Olu & Topdog are top blokes & I learn a lot just reading their posts. This place can be an education if you listen to the right people at the right times.

As for the fight Govan my fellow Glesga laddie, Im pumped for it too! & do yourself a favour & ignore that analytical side of your brain & let the patriotic side of your brain kick in & will our scottish boy on to what would be the mother of all wins. If Alex beats Guzman, watch all his haters jump on the Alex Arthur bandwagon. Trust me.

Listen Olu, you know you are a total ESB brother of mine & I respect you 100%. Thats beyond doubt. & as for your boy Olusegun, I want to see him win a world title, & many more. Its funny how the Hatton huggers said Olusegun was a joke opponent for Hatton, but they have all snapped up tickets to see some non-punching lightweight be Rickys ritual lamb to the slaughter. & then to add insult to injury, Hatton will probably fight the big mouthed Malignaggi afterwards, a guy who Olusegun would knock out.
An utterly weight drained skeleton like Cotto who was there for the taking battered that mug, but thats what the Hatton fans want for Ricky instead of him taking on a legit WBC champ in Witter & the unbeaten prospect Ajose Olusegun.

Its a sad day in boxing when a fighters own fans dont want tough fights for their boy. Or should I say hypejob cashcow. But they are zombies, as I have always said. If Ricky tells them he doesnt want tough fights, they will obey & make excuses for their favourite fighter.

Your a bit of an idiot aren't you.

You realise you can be a fan of someone and still think they will lose. This is not being an 'enemy' this is being realistic.

I've followed Scotland all over Europe, 50% of the time I've not fancied our chances because I'm realistic. It's a great surprise when we do win against all the odds I.E. vs England at Wembley, probably the best night of my life.

I'm not going to say Arthur is going to win if I don't believe it's possible, I'm not wearing rose-tinted specks, I will be behind Arthur but I'd be shocked if he won. That's part of being Scottish.

Dunky you are so right about Hatton and his fans. I admire AA for taking the high road.
