Where would you rank Canelo if he won tonight P4P? Where would you rank Trout if he won tonight P4P? ==================== Me personally, I'd rank Canelo and Trout higher or equal to Martinez had either won.
I disagree. I wouldn't rank them higher or equal to Martinez. Martinez had tougher battles; although, I don't believe the JC Chavez Jr. win was all that great. JC Chavez isn't all that dangerous. Anyways, I'd put them higher than Broner and Pacquiao. Seriously, who was the idiot who put Broner in as p4p #5? Yup, it is going to be a great win for either Trout or Canelo.
Dude I been saying may fans saying that this fight is meaningless, whoever wins it doesn't matter... they won't get much credit as both are unproven. I'm like WTF this dudes will go so far to discredit anything to defend their hero mayweater.
Come on! Outside of the top 10? Freaking Adrien Broner who was out-boxed by Ponce de Leon and hasn't had a tough fight since is ranked #5 p4p, or are you talking about your own p4p rankings?
Both my own and Ring (which has gone to crap with Broner at #5, Guerrero at #8 and no Rigo) I usually alternate between Mares, Froch, Broner, and Bradley for the #9 and #10 spots so hard to see Canelo or Trout jumping all these guys with one win. They might join that tier or just below it with a good win. #5 is way way too high for Broner, but I've no real problem putting him in #9 or #10. He beat the #1 lightweight with ease and is two weight champ, and has very good skills.
But isn't a win over Trout/Canelo at least as good as a win over DeMarco? Broner I don't think should be top 10 P4P yet. He is a 2 weight champ but he didn't beat a title holder at 130 lbs.
It can be argued and a lot comes down to personal opinion/preference. I do rate Broner and think nobody beats him at 130-135, and even though I don't like his move up past 140, I think he will beat Malinaggi at 147 too. I would be ok with people placing Canelo/Trout above him if either wins impressively tonight, they might not be ahead of him on my list but I can see why they would be for some people.
TBH, very hard to rate (not rank) the winner as #1 at 154 as they still would have to face Lara/Marty winner. There's also Carlos Molina who you'd definitely have to consider and Demitrius Andrade. In terms of ranking, I'd guess he'd end at number 1.
