it depends on your preference. quality vs. quantity. alvarez landed more crisp punches but trout was the busier fighter and pressed the fight. imo, trout won, 114-113. while alvarez showed better defense and landed cleaner punches, there where times saul didnt nothing, while trout was for the most part, busy. close fight that deserves a rematch.
Close fight, but Canelo deserved to win. Landed the harder, more meaningful shots. Trout was busier, but a lot of his punches didn't land - and you have to credit Canelo's defence for that. That one scorecard was shitty, but the right man won tonight.
Canelo by a small margin. Trout was hitting air and gloves for the most part and busier is not necessarily better. Pretty much all the significant punches came from Canelo and there were a lot of them.
Trout 115 112, could be 114 113, close fight no robbery but guy thats scored 118 109 should be banned from boxing for ever, watch ice skating or something...
The rounds went back and forth and I think it depends on what you were most impressed by. Canelo with the slick defense and heavy but few shots. Austin Trout, setting the pace, busy pace, overall controlling the ring. - I overall had a problem with Canelo doing nothing at times.
I definitely have Trout winning that fight. Canelo did not land ENOUGH power punches to steal the rounds. The knockdown round was 10-9 not 10-8! I bet a lot of people were so hyped that they didn't notice how effective Trout was that round.
