I'm not biased or anything and I was almost hoping Trout would win but Canelo's performance was damn impressive. He had GREAT headmovement going forward slipped pretty much all punches and landed much harder shots. Trout was somewhat right and Alvarez began to tire in the second half and fought more defensive but he showed some kind of shoulder roll and was very effective off the ropes especially with uppercuts. I haven't rewatched the fight but I'm pretty sure he won 5 of the first 6 rounds and scored a KD people who don't score this round 10/8 for Canelo are weird of course you can argue that a round shouldn't automatically be a 10/8 for a fighter when he scores a KD but we all know that's how judges score a fight and they would have done the same thing is Trout scored a knockdown and despite that that was NOT a round where you could argue it was 9/) Trout was really hurt it was without a doubt a 10/8. Later on Canelo got tired but no way Trout won the fight. Trout was hitting nothing but air sometimes the gloves and landed only very few shots scoring the rounds for Trout would be as bad a the judges who scored the Adamek- Chambers fight for Adamek because he jabbed a few times in the air.
Canelo is damn impressive and very young I would be surprised if Mayweather fought him and I would even favor Alvarez to win. You shouldn't forget Trout was a southpaw fighting a big southpaw with Trout's skill and fighting that well is damn impressive

Not Canelo hate. I'm actually apathetic to him as a fighter. I hate the judging. I hate the way GBP set the whole thing up. It was corrupt as ****, but people are ****ing blind sheep.

Not sure about ggg but Martinez isn't top rank so that could get done.

I like canelo to beat either at 154 especially with sexy serg having knee surgery. But at 160 I don't know if young red can carry his power. Not saying he can't, just not sure.

The knee operation on sexy is gonna be telling. I guess we will know after the Murray fight. 160 I'm slighty leaning toward 3G. Just slightly.

If Floyd beats Guerrerro and doesn't fight Canelo, then wouldn't Floyd be ducking Canelo? What we know is Canelo didn't fight on the Mayweather Guerrerro undercard because they couldn't agree to a guaranteed fight if both of them won. But how much should we read into that? If Floyd wants to just take it 1 fight at a time, that is defiently understandable, I guess we'll find out a lot in the next few weeks.

Man, I was seriously rooting for Trout - the guy is a class act - but I think the knockdown made the difference. Was thinking 115-113 Alvarez but wtf was mr 118-109 thinking?
I feel for Trout cos he's a dangerous fighter but without a belt he's going to struggle to get fights.
At the end of the day I was ok with the Alvarez decision.

    Not really.

Angulo/Lara/Vanes/Kirkland are all perfectly acceptable fights too.
