I think Britain's Freddie Mills deserves a mention here, he was a cautionless bull and probably took more punishment than most any champion in history. He was the Jake La Motta of the L-HW division... but unlike Jake though, Mills had a career of fighting bigmen and held his own against most of them Baski (he was well beaten by) Woodcock X 2 Johnny Ralph Stefan Olek Ken Shaw X2 thats 7 fights agaist Top Ranked and well noted world classed Heavyweights, plus a few other HWs too. Not bad going for a man who was very definately a L-HW. Mills was Bull Strong, couragous and determined. I think he falls into this here categories mix!
I know it's the classic forum but if you go by looks alone it's probably someone from this era since more boxer do weight lifting. Jean Pascal?
Moore was strong but much more reliant on Skill, Ringcraft & Guile, a great, great fighter, but nowhere near the strongest L-HW in the sense of this thread.
