Adamek is alot worse than Cunningham (currently) his punch resistance is worse, so a KO is very possible.
Adamek has beaten 1-2 top 10 HWs in his career. Something neither Cunningham nor Fury have ever accomplished. Tell you what. Fury isn't even exciting. He's just a float-footed clown with zero ring generalship, stumbling around like a drunken sailor and screaming 'CMON' like a ******. If you like barfights then this may be fun to watch. But to anyone who likes boxing it's just plain embarrassing. The best is though: next week Fury will be out claiming Vit and Wlad are still hiding from him :rofl
Adameks only good win is Arreola, the rest are bums or blatent robberies. Cunningham beat Adamek himself Fury beat Chisora, Johnson and Cunningham Adamek should shut his ass.
Cunningham beat Adamek very easily. Fury would destroy Adamek who is quite frankly terrible at heavyweight.
So is Fury who just went life and death with a feather-fisted cruiserweight who is past his best and was looking for a final payday. I find it hilarious that Fury would supposedly 'destroy' Adamek. Fury has never destroyed anyone! Fury struggles with lesser guys that he's supposed to destroy without breaking a sweat because he's too busy clowning around and making a fool out of himself. He doesn't take the sport seriously and that's what will get him knocked the **** out sooner rather than later.
Is Adamek angling for a match with Fury or just genuinely disgusted? Maybe he feels the need to stick up for Cunningham since he knows he was robbed recently.
I'd definitely back Fury to beat Adamek, who has been looking progressively worse lately. I had him losing to Chambers and Cunningham. That doesn't change the fact that Fury looked awful last night. He seemed to be improving but that was the old Fury; sloppy and leaving himself wide open. He's obviously not ready for Wlad. Facing Pulev first would be a step in the right direction.
Pulev would feast on Fury of last night. Fury would have to go back to a desciplined preparation and screwing his head on straight. Less clowning around, more serious boxing, never underestimating his opponent no matter the weight difference. All this is just a game to him. He doesn't realize these are the years that offer him the chance to secure a nest-egg for himself and his young family. He's an idiot to risk his family's future with his stupid antics.
On the basis of last night, no. Whether he approached it differently because of the size advantage and felt he could just bully Cunningham, I don't know. I'd like to see Fury in with two good fighters and then Pulev before even mentioning Wlad's name. Personally, I don't think he'll ever be ready for Wlad though. His performances are so up-and-down though, that it's hard to gauge exactly where his ceiling is.
IMO he needs to stay busy with guys as beatable as Cunningham and work his arse off in training and then in 3-4 fights time take on an actual >225lb HW. Perhaps a rematch with Chisora is a realistic fight for him at this stage. Even then I don't he's ready to beat Dereck impressively... if at all.
Why are you putting so much emphasis on size, Adamek is bigger than Steve and has fought big guys over 6'6 heavier than Fury with longer reach and won.
Fury's size would wear Adamek down and he'd grind out a late stoppage or PTS decision. But he'd make it a difficult nights work taking more punishment than necessary. I just hope he isn't thrown to Wlad for at least another 3-4 fights, at least then he'd have a small chance.
