Watch round 7 again and explain why it's 10-9

the round changed the whole fight. trout just won round six and if he wins seven then he has a great case for saying that he was robbed.

you cant call out the golden goose, get knocked down in a close fight and expect to win a decision.

 

Only way I could have made that a 10-9 is if Trout had hurt Canelo badly to the point of him having to take a knee or being knocked down or looking like the fight was going to get stopped.

I scored it 10 - 8 Canelo.

Had the fight 116-111

Only way I could see Canelo winning was by 1 pt like the Showtime crew had, because they gave every close round to Canelo.
Even then I would have disagreed but could have accepted it, but the wide cards showed that it was simply an unwinnable fight for Trout via corruption. Typical of texas boxing and Golden Boy with regards to Canelo.

 

To be a 10-9, Trout has to win the round clearly, even without the KD it was Canelo round (close)

 

Clear 10-8. I don't know what the Showtime commentators -- who were biased towards Trout the whole night -- were thinking when trying to argue for a 10-9 round.

Yeah thats right but if you think its that close that the KD edges the round then you obviously think Canelo won the round on a whole so you would score it 10-8.

If you think Trout won the round clearly and the KD was the only thing Canelo gave that round then you think Trout won the round and give it a 10-9.

It's that simple.

They were thinking about Showtimes new owner Al Haymon, what the **** fight were they watching?
I can understand if your trying to do a good job and be unbiased due to the large Canelo crowd etc.... But why be unbiased in a way of such that you over do it and wind up being biased for the other guy?
anyhow wasnt a close fight I had it 116-111 Canelo..

 

I score as I said, if the round is close and theres not much between them and the knockdown comes then I score it 10-8 as its the deciding factor in the round.

If someone has won the round clearly and the other guy lands a punch that scores a KD then its 10-9 as he gets the point for winning the round.

 

I never said Trout won the round, just explaining how to score this situation.

Some of you guys were listening and believing Al Bernstein's rant about Trout "controlling" the fight with his jab.....wtf....except for the first couple
rounds that job was either 1) avoided by Canelo head movement or 2) landed
with no force whatsoever.

The last 1/3 of this round Trout did well and won, but the knockdown and subsequent 2 mins was all Canelo. I've seen rounds when a guy got knocked down and lost only 10-9 but that's because he came back strong and hurt the other guy. Canelo wasn't hurt at any time in the entire fight, much less in that round.
