Stategy for defeating Cleverly

    For me, Clev is tough to beat due to his heavy workrate and punch output.

    I don't think he's actually lost many rounds in his career due to this.

    Yes he has a poor defence but his punch resistance seems quite good.

    What's the best stategy overcome this and style-wise who is Clev's kryptonite?

    If you have decent power, lure him in to a shootout.
    He doesnt really have the power to compete.

    A solid jab, good footwork + movement and power is the key to beat Clev. That's why IMO, Hopkins & Dawson plays with him. His jab was a lot better last night but gets dragged into a toe to toe war and has the classic 'chin up, hands down'
