Rematching Cotto will give him another big payday. It's a fight he could win and will get him inline for another big name fight. Maybe he can fight Vanes.

At the very least we'll see him headline another Showtime card. He's had 2 big fights, and acquitted himself well in both of them. Trout will get another shot, and deservedly so.

Ishe Smith is supposed to be fighting Carlos Molina soon, I think. I want to see Trout vs. Martirosyan and Lara vs. Molina II. Kind of like a little tourney and the winner takes on Canelo. Canelo fights Cotto and Angulo/Mayweather while waiting for the tourney winner.

he does deserve a shot right away i agree. but im thinking of the best way to manage his career. the guy always had an uphill battle and i think if u can get a guy like k9 up for one last fight i think that just be an easier fight for him an he would look good in the cuz he would tear k9 up

Good posting. Likely, Canelo might move up to fight bigger names. As said in another article, Canelo was about 170 for the fight. Trout could start over again and take on the names mentioned above. Trout would have won the fight if it was not a big name like Canelo. Once again, it depends on what a judge feels wins the fight. If you like busy, then Trout. If you feel for the guy who makes the most meaningful shots in the round, then Canelo. I had it close, but am ok that Canelo got the nod. A draw would have been ok also. But, Trout will be back and likely win a title again.
