    Wasn't Abner Cotto supposed to be up and coming? That other kid dusted him with ease...

    Abner was mauled by the little panther. Those body shots were brutal and right on target.

    It looked like Cotto was being fed to the Mexican kid.

    Was it supposed to be the other way around?

    Nothing pretty about Figueroa but he is the real deal. Consistent pressure and switching

    No you have it right. It was yet another Al Haymon special. Bad mismatch to hype up Figueroa. Probably thought he could fool a few people because Abner has the last name Cotto and had an undefeated record.

    Abner Cotto is terrible, the guy dived on the floor after getting hit with one clean punch

    Before the fight began, I thought Abner Cotto was supposed to win, considering his last name. I've heard about Figueroa, but I've never seen any of his matches. Sure as hell the kid dropped Cotto. He has some damn good power.

    Abner Cotto has always been a mediocre fighter with a huge last name...if anybody around here actually followed the sport, it would be common knowledge. Tha **** is the point of this thread again???

    As. Puertk Rican, let me say;

    Abner Cotto was an okay prospect at best- yet he was one dimensional and had a pretty bad chin. Figueroa was a pretty good prospect AT LEAST; Abner was the food for Figueroa as Figueroa had beaten many better fighters before. People who knew of the fight fave Abner little chance, as did I.

    In summary; Abner Cotto runs off his cousinns name, Miguel and his genius promoter skills puts him with a nightmare style match up. Nothing really special. Figueroa though, looks good.
