Exactly. I had Canelo winning handily. A lot of the "punches" landed by Trout were glancing at best, or completely missed at worst. Commentary was biased in favor of Trout. Paulie and Al were Al over Trout, it was terrible. Trout won 3 rounds on card, 4 if i'm being generous. Canelo made it look easy.

You think it's OK to talk about trout beating cotto, rigo beating Donaire, but we shouldn't talk about canelo beating Trout? nobody is trying to exagerate , canelo is 22 yo ,he did beat trout and even managed to KD him .What rigo and trout has in common? For anyone who thinks this fight wasn't something special your are crazy. Trout came out expecting an entirely different fighter, a hard charging Canelo. He expected power shots one after another and expected to out box Canelo to victory. It didn't happen, what happened was Canelo came in and boxed used great defense adn was able to get the victory going against his normal way of fighting (this is special). Trout had to think on his feet and come up with a way to counter the new style in front of him he was not prepared for and he did (this is special) and he almost pulled it off. The whole fight was a game of distance and timing, both fighter working to control both areas. The ebb and flow in this fight was constant, because Canelo was not just moving backwards he was constantly try to get Trout to overcommit. Trout was trying to control the distance without overcommitting and both did a pretty special job of using feints and foot work to get what they wanted done. yeah neither one looked great because they were pretty evenly matched.

 

Trout won Rounds 1, 3, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12 imo. If memory serves me rght.

I seriously wanna rewatch tho. Everybody around me is telling me Canelo dominated. Maybe i was in the moment and saw what i wanted cause i was rooting for Austin. Plus i was drunk.
