Canelo is a physically strong fighter who probably has 20 pounds on Floyd. He is also two inches taller.
Floyd is a small WW who could move down in weight, something Canelo could not do.
And let´s not forget that one guy is 36 years old and the other one is just 22.
Its a though task.

 

I dont know, one thing that worries me is Floyds legs, if he can move for 12 rounds i have no doubt he would potshot Canelo all night but i dont think he can anymore, Canelo is now getting overrated big time his fans are acting like he is some master boxer or something, if Floyd can move as he once did he would win wide UD, big difference in class!

 

If he comes in at 170 against floyd,then you better believe floyd will invest in that jab to the body and make him feel every bit of it.

It's a very hard fight for Floyd if he takes it, don't think you can get away from that. Alvarez is a very good fighter, young and would outweigh Mayweather by at least 15lbs, maybe more on fight night.

I really hope they can make the fight, it will be the first time in a long time Mayweather has been in a fight that I thought he had a genuine chance or losing. Not saying I'd pick Alvarez to get the win, would need Mayweather against Guerrero first before making a pick, but at worse he would be a live outsider

There is nothing great about Canelo AT ALL... Everyone is wetting their pants to see Canelo fight him and Floyd is a welter. Martinez is this supposedly small middleweight so why isn't anyone asking for Canelo to fight Martinez? Canelo hits hard and that's about it. He gasses way too easily for a 22 year old and when his power isn't enough, what's he gonna do then? Not much. Canelo is a good young fighter, but there is way too much hype for a guy who is just fought his first live body in 40 some odd fights.

 

it won't come down to a size thing. I think Alvarez can also out box floyd at this stage of his career.
