If Mayweather had have done that to Trout you'd all have 118-109 cards!!

    Fact is though he could never do that to Trout and would get beaten. The fight was close but Canelo won by 3-4 points. There were times Canelo was making Trout miss everything with his hands down and the commentators were praising Trout for forcing the action etc. (fair enough, if equal punches are landed I give the exchange to the aggressor) but no matter what, even if Mayweather gets hit with one or two glancing blows and throws nothing back against a **** opponent all he gets is praise.

    Canelo also ran for most of the fight and only fought a third of most rounds. In most other venues he probably doesn't get the nod. Unimpressive performance and I still don't see why a lot of people wet their pants over this guy who punches hard then gasses out every fight. GB will keep matching him with guys that can't expose the fact that he has no Plan B..

    Mayweather could do that to Trout easily but what's the point anyway because where was Trout when Mayweather was dominating at 21:lol:.

    i kind of agree with that.

    It looked more dominant than mayweather vs cotto to me, and i believe that was a score from lots of people.

    Clear victory for Canelo, 8-4 type scorecard.

    However, one point to make. Mayweather does not take long periods of the round off as often as Canelo seems to, this is why there are scorecards that are close, or even a draw. Trouts activity and somewhat success with the jab played a part in these close rounds when Canelo was throwing very little aside from 20-30 second bursts.
