I really honestly don't think it was particularly intentional or an incredibly dangerous foul, how many times have we seen boxers flail a glove or an arm in someones face before following up? If you watch the Broner/Escobedo fight just before the KO Broner has his left glove in his face, pushing his head back to confuse him before throwing the right, he does it about 3 times and no one even mentions it. I think in Fury's case the leaning and pushing coupled with that made it look worse and it was also worsened because it led to a heavy right hand which knocked USS out. Other than that not the end of the world for me. I think people using their head blatantly is much worse, Holyfield butting Tyson without being penalised was very blatant, Ward nutting Kessler led to his retina damage for sure as well, and McLellan according to many experts may have suffered the worst of his head traumas when Benn slipped and landed the head on him after missing a punch. Whilst perhaps not deliberate it's too often people use their heads recklessly and get away with it.
It was a foul going by the letter of the law but realistically its not the type of thing fighters get punished for it happens all the time. Cunningham looked pretty ****ed before the KO anyway, i think the size and weight of Tyson had taken its toll and the KO was always on the cards. Cunningham is a nice guy with some nice skills i hope he gets another shot, maybe get him in with Chisora. Both a similar size, could make for an excellent fight.
the commentating was so biased ..... by guys hanging onto tysons channel 5 career.. what gets me is knowone seems to notice how high tysons shorts and protection are.... his body had a smaller target zone than cunningham... tyson will be soon found out by a bigger or harder hitting fella... his support is awful aswell and his family at ringside are doing everything to keep up the pikey stereotypes.
